Scan your ticket QR at the gate, pick up the courtesy drink your ticket already paid for, and find a spot by the water.
One signature pie from every bakery, $7.50 a token. Tokens sit on the same QR as your ticket, so there is nothing extra to carry.
Rank your top five at nzpiefest.co.nz/vote. One vote per ticket each day, so you can come back tomorrow and vote again.
Your vote joins everyone else's, and on the Sunday one bakery goes home with the first People's Pie crown.

Every bakery brings one signature pie. Best pie bragging rights drive the bakers, and you get to try them all in one afternoon.

Open 10am to 10:30pm each day. A licensed bar pouring local beer, wine and soft drinks, plus coffee and sweet treats, with live music and DJs into the evening across all three nights. Settle in and make a real day of it.

People's Pie
Cast your vote for Wellington's best pie. The People's Pie crown is decided by you, and the winning bakery takes the bragging rights home.
New Zealand will queue in the rain for a good pie, argue about who does the best one, and drive across town to prove it. Nobody had put all of that in one place for a weekend, so we did. NZ Pie Fest is the first edition of something we plan to take city by city, and it starts in Wellington this January.

NZ Pie Fest is built by Rimu and Harbour Limited, a Wellington events company, and launches at Frank Kitts Park in January 2027.
The festival is led on the ground in New Zealand and built to grow city by city, New Zealand first, then further afield.
Early bird tickets are $19.90 online until 10 November 2026, then $25 online, or $27 at the gate. One courtesy drink and your People's Pie vote are included.
